Bernd
B. Liebold is
a Berliner. Educated as a Lithographer, Photographer
and as a Cameraman. He worked as a Directors Assistant
on different Theaters in Hamburg, Later as advertising
specialist, director and Film producer.
He was honoured with the "Golden Lion"
in the Film Festival of Venice, awarded with a "Clio"
in New York, awards in Cannes Film festival and
in Berlin. He lived one year in Asia and later obtained
a reputation as a furniture designer.
At the start of the 80 ties, he discovers his fascination
for the fifth continent, Australia. Since 1985 he
calls Perth, the little town on the West Coast,
home. He lives in his old house close to the Indian
Ocean with an Airedale and a Persian cat.
In his studio he creates the paintings he exhibit
in Australia and Europe.
His recently released book, "Land of Genisis"
contains a collection of Australian short stories,
based on experience and tales collected on his journeys.
